Jarell Stanley Cherry, 40, was wanted on an active arrest warrant for "acts involving Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault with a firearm," Chambersburg police stated in the original release on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023.
Cherry has been charged with felony kidnapping to facilitate a felony, felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony strangulation, felony possession of a firearm prohibited, misdemeanor reckless endangerment, misdemeanor unlawful restraint, misdemeanor terroristic threats, and two counts of misdemeanor assault, according to his latest court docket.
He has a record of possessing marijuana multiple times in Washington, Lehigh, and Franklin counties with his first offense dating back to 2004, court records show. In 2011, he also was convicted of criminal conspiracy engaging - manufacturing/delivery/possession/with intent to manufacture or deliver and served a 48-month probation sentence, according to earlier court dockets.
